The Poorhouse Revisited

Suzanne Walsh and I have created the soundtrack for this upcoming 16mm 80minute feature film by Michael Higgins. Set in the time of the Irish famine, an elderly gravedigger revisits a traumatic event through the visions of his dreams. Trailer can be seen at vimeo here.

Two new solo songs online

And here for "Micma! Micalz Od Adgmach!"

Recording of Stop / Run Performance

Can be heard in full at soundcloud.com/stop-run/brian-conniffe. This was also played recently on Ireland's mainstream classical music radio station, RTE Lyric FM.
Photos of the incredible instruments created by Ed Devane for this event can be seen here at Second Square To None.
Be sure to check out the wonderful performances by the other artists at that event here at the Stop / Run soundcloud profile.
With regards to my own contribution, many thanks to Simon Morris for spoken voice recording. Some illustrations of the text may be viewed at ozozalice.blogspot.com
Also incorporated is a treatment of material from Coil CSO 16, used in accordance with the creative commons license of that release.
In memoriam Peter Christopherson.

Video Footage

A very brief excerpt from the aforementioned Stop / Run performance:

A fantastic new video by Diarmuid MacDiarmada for this of Suzanne and mine:

An excerpt from one of my favourite moments of music that i have had the pleasure to involved in. Video is my "remix" of Dolorosa Delacruz's visuals for our performance last year:

My remix of Laura Sheeran's "The Sadness Of The Sea" paired with visuals by Peter Christopherson (in memoriam) taken from Coil CSO 15, used in accordance with the creative commons license of that release.

First airing of this piece, another favourite of mine. As always with these improvisions, it was entirely unplanned, with no overdubs, no editing and mixed as it was created.

And finally, the most sedating tones i can muster along with my late night shortwave radio meet Brian O'Shea's gorgeous melodies and uplifting synth playing.
